Description

Introducing 316 Series Cookware – engineered for performance, designed for life. The low casserole is reassuringly free from non-stick coatings to ensure healthy eating every time.

The wide-based low casserole features an uncoated tri-ply construction: Two layers of high-grade stainless steel fully encapsulate a responsive aluminium core that extends throughout the pan from base to rim, ensuring rapid, even heat distribution.

Suitable for all hobs, including induction, the Low Casserole 28cm, with close-fit lid, is versatile and is perfect for one-pot meals, braising, searing, shallow frying and of course casseroles. The Low Casserole 28cm can also be matched to the large Steamer Insert 28cm.

The durable cooking surface is made from premium-grade 316 stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance that won’t react with acidic or salty foods – preserving pure flavour in every dish.

Rolled edges ensure the aluminium core is fully encapsulated within the stainless-steel layers, protecting it from corrosion in the dishwasher. Flared rims allow for a smooth, controlled pouring action.

Comfortable, short helper handles, make it easy to transfer from the hob to the oven for continued cooking. The Low Casserole 28cm is oven-safe to a temperature of 240°C. Dishwasher safe and backed by a 25-year lifetime guarantee (excluding the silicon knob).

316 Series cookware also includes saucepans; a three-piece saucepan set, uncoated frying pans, and woks, all made from durable 316 stainless steel. The steamer inserts are made from high quality 18/10 stainless steel.

• For best results, use a hot cycle at 65°-75°C (150°-167°F) with quality all-in-one tablets such as Fairy Platinum Plus (Cascade Platinum Plus in the US) or Finish Quantum Powerball.
• We recommend avoiding ‘eco mode’, as its lower water temperature may not fully dissolve or activate the detergent, which can result in residue, leaving your cookware with stains or a dull finish.

Built on a solid foundation of passion and tradition, Robert Welch is a British brand with an international reputation for well-designed, functional, and durable cutlery and tableware that can be used every day and enjoyed for many years.

Our Origins

Robert Radford Welch studied silversmithing at the Royal College of Art. Upon graduation in 1955, he left London for Gloucestershire countryside where he rented a small room in a disused 18th century silk mill in Chipping Campden.

How Far We've Come

Whilst still based in this same building, we have come a long way from the drawing office where Robert's first thoughts were sketched out. This quiet start in the English Cotswold Hills would ultimately give his name a global reach.

He remained true to a design ethos that prioritised economy of form and priority of function over following fashionable fads & trends, and the outcome was a portfolio of timeless designs, an archive which today's company is proud to build upon.

With our roots firmly planted, today we are able to draw non this legacy of iconic designs and enduring values, as we reach further out into the world.

We now supply over 100 countries yet proudly retain our Cotswold identity. Our designs can be found in homes, cathedrals, universities, embassies hotels, restaurants, cruise liners, airlines and museums all over the world.
