Brand New Flooring Ranges From Karndean Design Flooring

We’ve been getting excited about the launch of Karndean’s stunning new ranges in their premium Art Select Wood collection of luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring. And it has now arrived in store, ready for you to come and browse!

Karndean is giving you the chance to achieve both the beauty of natural wood and the practicality of vinyl flooring in your own home. Unlike their existing Art Select ranges, these three new lines have a unique matte finish to bring a subtle sense of character to any room.

These are Karndean’s most intricate and realistic designs yet, and alongside their handcrafted execution, you’ll find wood grains and textures like you’ve never seen before with LVT flooring.

Reclaimed Hickory

For this range, Karndean has introduced a unique emboss, inspired by the traditional early American practice of sawing logs with mechanical rotary blades. This makes the reclaimed wood characteristics really stand out, and offers an authentic cross-sawn finish to make it look as close to the real thing as possible.

The interesting colour variation in the reclaimed hickory resembles the combination of deeper ‘heartwood’ and lighter ‘sapwood’ of genuine hickory. This gives a beautiful overall effect that is striking and stays true to the reclaimed look.

American Chestnut

American Chestnut has become one of the rarest types of reclaimed hardwood, caused by the near-extinction of the species and the national restriction on felling. But you can now achieve this unique look in your home with Karndean’s new American Chestnut range.

Since this type of wood has been reclaimed from old American barns and factories, there is a wide variety of colours available, from light, dusty browns to dark chocolate shades. The wood is usually left unpolished to create a casual, rustic look, which Karndean has replicated in the matte finish.

French Oaks

The French Oaks range is one of the most popular in the Art Select Wood collection, as it is available in a beautiful Herringbone layout - a very on-trend and sought after pattern in the flooring world. The same colourways also come in a smaller 18”x3” parquet format, to showcase the muted colour contrast in the planks.

The smooth, rolling grain in the French Oaks range is achieved by a single-smoking process, which has been replicated by Karndean’s innovative matte finish. The result creates a dreamy tonal floor that is minimal, yet offers plenty of character in its unique texture.
